시험관 내(in vitro)에서 세포의 생물학적 활성을 유지하기 위해서는 세포 동결보존(Cell Cryopreservation) 후 필요 시 해동하여 배양해야 합니다. 현재 가장 널리 사용되는 방법은 액체질소 동결보존법으로, 적절한 동결보호제(Cryoprotectant)를 첨가한 뒤 세포를 서서히 냉각하여 보호합니다.

Procell Serum-free Cell Freezing Medium은 다양한 세포에 사용할 수 있도록 개발된 혈청 무첨가 세포 동결보존 배지입니다. 장기간 세포 연구를 위한 세포 동결보존 및 해동 조건을 최적화하여 높은 세포 생존율을 제공합니다.

본 제품에는 세포 침강 안정화제(Cell Sedimentation Stabilizer)가 함유되어 있어 동결 과정에서 세포 침강을 지연시키고 세포 간 압착을 방지하여 동결 효율을 높입니다. 또한 세포막 보호제, 세포 내 침투형 보호제, 비침투성 세포 보호제 등 다양한 동결보호제가 물의 결정화를 억제하고 얼음 결정 생성을 감소시켜, 동결 손상을 최소화하고 해동 후 세포 생존율을 효과적으로 향상시킵니다.

또한 혈청 및 동물 유래 단백질을 포함하지 않아 세균, 바이러스, 마이코플라스마 오염 위험을 줄일 수 있으며, 세포주, 일차세포, 혈청 무첨가 배양 세포, 단백질 발현 세포 등 다양한 세포에 사용할 수 있습니다.
